Easy Healthy Smoothies

There are recipes for each Shakeology flavor-Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Greenberry, Tropical Strawberry (Vegan), and Chocolate Vegan.

For the best taste, use a blender and add ice. The more ice, the thicker it gets.

Easy Healthy Eating Tips

Need some easy healthy eating tips to help you lose weight or maintain your recent weight loss? Try these!

Eat a low-calorie, low-fat diet.

Eat whole-grains, fresh fruits, and veggies. Choose lean meats, fish and poultry. Good low-fat sources of protein include dried beans and peas, tofu, edamame, and quinoa.

Eat breakfast.

Don’t skip it! A healthy breakfast jump starts your metabolism and gives you the energy you need to start your day. And you don’t want your body to go into “conservation mode”, where it holds onto all fat. When you eat that morning meal, you’ll also be less likely to grab that doughnut at the office or hit the fast food restaurant at lunch! That brings us to…

Limit fast food.

Those who lose weight and keep it off shy away from fast food options. Even though some have healthier choices, the portion size can be over the top, so be careful.

Eat real food.

Instead, choose real food from your local market or fresh produce from the perimeter of the grocery store. Opt out of the processed foods.

Drink more water.

Sometimes you may think you’re hungry, when you’re actually just thirsty. Try drinking half your weight, in ounces, of water each day. If you weigh 200 pounds, drink 100 ounces through out the day. You’ll feel so much better and this helps you consume fewer calories.

Don’t skip meals.

You should eat 3 small healthy meals and 2-3 healthy snacks between meals each day. That means you should be eating 5-6 times per day. I try to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours to make sure I stick to the schedule.

Be consistent.

Don’t think of “diet” as a bad word. If you need a different mindset, think “healthy eating” instead. Healthy eating means consuming the right quantities of foods from all food groups in order to lead a healthy life. That’s what we want!

Show restraint.

Always be conscious about the types of foods you’re eating if you want to lose weight or maintain weight loss. Instead of a candy bar, choose a piece of fruit. If you do slip up though, don’t be too hard on yourself. Just pick up where you left off. This is a long-term, healthy eating lifestyle, not a short-term fad diet!
